Winter is stunning, but for this sport you cannot count only on mother nature.

It takes two freezing weeks and a lot of work to build a full set of snowboard courses.

Para snowboard competition includes male and female athletes with a physical impairment such as spinal injury, cerebral palsy and amputation.

At Beijing 2022, for the first time in the Games, competitions will have up to 4 athletes snowboarding at the same time.

In the past, the limit was 2 athletes.

And you might be wondering "how amputee athletes can snowboard if it's already pretty difficult to stand on a board even with both legs?" .

Many para snowboarders use a special prosthesis to ride.

In the past, there were few prosthesis suited specially for snow sports.

Paralympic snowboard champion Mike Schultz founded a company to solve this problem.

A legend on and off the slopes!
