01. neo-Chinese style 新中式
📝讲解：neo- 表示复制模仿先前已经存在的事物，来更新创新，比如这个英文释义很清晰，a new and different form of something that existed in the past such as a theory, style, language, or philosophy. 比如说neo-classical architecture，neo- 就表示仿古希腊罗马的建筑风格，是一种复兴复古的风格。所以在表达新中式的时候，这个 neo- 更准确。但是呢，new Chinese style 用法也很广泛。所以两个表达其实都可以。

为什么新中式穿搭火了？
📝讲解：grip 原意是紧紧抓住，这里就是引申表达为吸引注意力，或者吸引兴趣。

吸引中国年轻人的这波最新时尚潮流其实并不新鲜，但事实证明它确实很能挣钱。
03. a modern twist 注入现代气息
📝讲解：这个句型我们之前也见过，说西方年轻人打麻将的时候，遇到的词组是 give the culture a modern twist，让文化注入现代气息；在这里呢，是让服装注入现代气息。📍例句：The “mamianqun”or “horse face skirt” is being worn in cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu as young people in China are giving the attire a modern twist, with unconventional pairings and choice of fabrics.
“马面裙”在上海、北京和成都等城市很受欢迎，因为中国的年轻人通过非常规的搭配和面料选择赋予这种服装现代感。
📝讲解：表示服装，尤其是华丽正式的那种，比如说穿晚礼服 dressed in formal evening attire.📍例句：Proper attire is required at the restaurant.

📝讲解：还有个词 brocade，是表示汉服的面料，是织锦，锦缎的。

📝讲解：这个词使用非常高频，可以说风格、策略或者是性格包容，都可以用到这个词。📍例句：There is no set rule in the ‘new Chinese style’ trend that you must follow. Like, you can wear a loose silk shirt with jeans. It's quite inclusive.
“新中式”潮流没有你一定要遵循的固定规则，比如，你可以穿宽松的真丝衬衫搭配牛仔裤。它的包容性很强。
📝讲解：这个词的本意是拥抱，这里经常用到其引申义，表示欣然接受、乐意采纳，比如说要能接受挑战，就是 embrace challenge.
