How Mother's Day is celebrated around the world.
Countries around the world have special days when people celebrate the women that love and care for them.
Mother's Day in the UK is traditionally known as Mothering Sunday.
It is held on the fourth Sunday of Lent each year.
Lent is the time that leads up to the Christian festival of Easter.
Children might give cards, flowers, chocolates, or other gifts.
In the US, Mother's Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908.
When she was a child, Anna heard her mother say that one day she hoped that there would be a holiday to celebrate all mothers that were living and dead.
In 1914, it became an official US holiday.
It's celebrated every second Sunday in May.
