蒙古族娱乐活动

Horse Riding Horse racing is one of the three major traditional competitive activities of the Mongolian people.

The Mongolians regard horses as their closest companions.

During festivals and holidays, herdsmen organize horse races that can cover distances of dozens of kilometers.

These races are generally divided into walking races and running races.

The walking race is a test of speed, steadiness, and elegance, while the running race focuses on speed and endurance.

The straight-course running race on grassland is typically 20 to 30 kilometers long, and the champion and runner-up are determined regardless of age.

Before the race, riders carefully select their horses and often invite experienced trainers to prepare them. Both horses and riders are beautifully decorated.

The contestants wear colorful traditional clothing and riding boots, with bright ribbons tied around their heads. When the race begins, all riders whip their horses forward.

The winners are awarded valuable prizes, and the winning horse is decorated with a red ribbon as a symbol of great honor.

Wrestling Wrestling is a sport widely loved by Mongolian men. Typically, 256 wrestlers participate in banner-level wrestling competitions.
