Hello everyone and welcome back to Pronunciation with Emma.
In this video I'm going to talk about a common problem, typically with Spanish speakers.
This is with would, wood, and good.
So for many Spanish speakers these words sound exactly the same and people typically pronounce them as good, good, and good.
All with a /g/ sound at the beginning.
Pronouncing the words like this, all in the same way, may be confusing for the listener, so it's important that you get the sounds right so you're not confusing your friends and potentially losing friends.
So let's start with the word "good".
The back of my tongue comes up to touch my velum.
Now you're probably thinking "Emma, what the heck is a velum?'.
Well if you feel with your tongue.
