写作总写基础句式?多样化句式有妙招


写英语作文时,如果每个句子都用大同小异的句式,很难体现我们的写作功底。在判分时也会比较吃亏。正确把握句式变化,使句式多样化,可以让文章生动、有趣。恰当地使用某些方法有助于实际表达形式的多样化,增强表达效果。比如以下几种。



1.改变句子开头

许多考生在写作中倾向于用与人有关系的词性,用名词和代词作为句子的开头,如 People,We,I,They等。那我们来试比较这两句话:1) People throughout the country have greatly demanded all kinds of nutritious food. 2) There is a great demand across the country for all kinds of nutritious food. 第二句既改变了主语+谓语+宾语的单调句型,又凸显了想强调的意思。实际上,为了把文章写得生动活泼,除了用主语开头外,也可以用句子的其他成分开头。


2.简单句之间用逻辑关系词串联

平铺直叙的写作手法会让前后文之间的逻辑关系不够明确,我们可以在句子和句子之间添加逻辑关系词,显现递进、转折或因果关系等。
例如: I got up late this morning. I had to catch the early bus. I was late for class. 

这几个简单句可以串联为:As I got up late this morning and I had to catch the early bus, I was late for class. 这里用了as来展现迟到和赶公交之间的因果关系。我们来看还有哪些逻辑关系词。

表递进——besides, except, except for, furthermore, moreover, in addition 等;
表转折——but, however, yet, still, nevertheless, despite, despite that, in spite of 等;
表因果——so, therefore, then, hence, accordingly, for, as a result, so that, consequently, for this reason, because, as, as for 等。


3.其他(定语从句、同位语等)

有时候为了将一些名词的特性完整地表现出来,前置定语已经无法涵盖所有信息的时候,我们需要借助定语从句或者同位语从句。这样不仅可以完整地表述信息,还可以使文章更有层次感。


例句1:The gender gap on this question is even wider among working adults in their 30s and 40s, when many woman face the trade-offs that go with work and motherhood.

在30多岁和40多岁的职场成年人中,在这个问题上的性别差距更大,很多女性都面临着工作和母亲身份之间的权衡。

分析:when引导定语从句,进一步表述30至40岁职场女性的情况。


例句2Communication skills, one of the most basic skills that students are required to acquire, are the cornerstone for students who will step into the society and begin to work in a few years.

沟通能力是学生需要掌握的最基本的技能之一,是学生在几年后踏入社会开始工作的基石。

分析:one of the most basic skills that students are required to acquire作为同位语,用以表明communication skills的特性之一:是一个学生被要求掌握的基础技能之一。后半句再用了who引导定语从句,补充说明这些学生将在几年内踏入社会并开始工作。
